Volleyball Victoria is hosting a free Level 2 Coaches Course for women, on Sunday the 4th of February funded through a Change Our Game community grant initiative, empowering women in volleyball. Our sport is not dissimilar to most where there's a gender imbalance impacting women coaches. Thanks to Change Our Game, Volleyball Victoria is delivering to women in our community a fully-subsidised Level 2 Coaching Course (typical cost $170pp). This coaching course will not only increase the number of Level 2 accredited women coaching within our sport, but will also increase capacity and confidence in existing women coaching at our affiliated clubs and associations to be more engaged in programs than ever before.

Thanks to Change Our Game, we're working to level the playing field for women and girls in sport.

To attend the Volleyball Australia Level 2 Associate Face to Face Coaching Course, you must complete the following prior:

1. You must be a current member of your State or Territory Volleyball Association.

2. You must be an accredited Volleyball Australia Level 1 Coach and identify as a woman.

3. You must complete the Australian Sport Commission Community Coaching Essential Skills Course (previously Sport AUS Community Coaching General Principles Course) and attain the Certificate of Completion.

4. You must complete the following "Play By The Rules" and "Sport Integrity Australia" modules and attain the courses Certificates of Completion:       

•        PBTR - Harassment and Discrimination
•        SIA - Child Safeguarding in Sport Induction  (For 18 year olds and over only)

Please note VA's age limitation. Participants must turn a minimum 16 years of age during the year the accreditation is obtained.

At the completion of this course, you will gain your Volleyball Australia Level 2 "Associate" Coach Accreditation.
 

To upgrade to a Level 2 "State" Coach, you must complete the following steps after the course.

1. Undertake assessments by a VA Level 3 Coach for 1x Training Session Coaching Assessment and 1x Match Coaching Assessment.

2. Return to the Accreditation portal to upload all the required documents to apply for your Volleyball Australia Level 2 State Coach Accreditation application.
