All Volleyball Victoria affiliated clubs and associations are required to have participants in their competitions, programs, or events purchase an appropriate membership before playing.

The membership price covers the cost of personal accident insurance, member protection, and child-safe policies for the individual member for the duration of the membership. It also allows access to participate in specific events and helps cover the costs associated with organising and administering those events (National Championships, Schools Cups, Country Champs, VVL and State Leagues for example). A portion of each membership supports services back to clubs and associations, as well as collectively to the Victorian volleyball community, allowing additional advocacy for local grants and funding, access to facilities, club health and education resources, coaching and refereeing courses, and pathway programs.

Membership prices have not increased from 2023 prices.
