Volleyball Victoria is excited to announce the trials for Men's and Women's Melbourne Vipers teams competing in the 2025 Australian Volleyball Super League from September to November.
 

FEES AND PLAYERS ELIGIBILITY

  • Any player wanting to be a member of the Vipers must play for a VVL Club AND play enough matches to qualify for finals (50% of regular season games). Exemption applies for athletes at the AVA or active Volleyroos where level of play and training is of a high standard.
  • All players must have a 2026 Full Adult Membership (attained through your VVL club registration)
  • Fees have not yet been set for the season and will depend on sponsorships attained.
  • Maximum squad size is 20 players per team with match and travel team size each week limited to 10 players.

TRAINING
The training schedule is currently being finalised.
Training during VVL season will be maximum 1 x per week.
At the conclusion of VVL, training will be 2-3 x per week. Times and locations TBC by coaches. 

2026 AVSL SCHEDULE
Our Men’s and Women’s Vipers teams will share the same home and away schedule.

The schedule is still being finalised by Volleyball Australia, however the Vipers schedule is confirmed to have:
3 x home rounds
2 x away rounds

AVSL will run from 11th October (Round 1) to the 22nd November (this is including finals).

SELECTIONS
Melbourne Vipers seek to select the best available Victorian players to play for the Vipers in the Australian Volleyball Super League. A squad of 18+ players will be selected from the trialling athletes. Team selection each round will be a squad of 10. Athletes MUST be available for all rounds.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Any athlete that requires an ITC, meaning they were registered to play volleyball in another country before they were registered to play volleyball in Australia, fees are responsbility of athlete.
