The Great Ocean Road Beach Fest was a huge success in delivering an incredible tournament in Torquay. It was amazing to witness that talent, skills and sheer determination from the best beach volleyballers across the globe. The team at Volleyball Victoria were lucky enough to head down to the Volleyfest and watch the action first hand.

Volleyball Victoria's Development Manager, Scott Davidson, was one of them.

"Greg Jury and the team at Volleyball Australia, Trent Clark, Jarred Osborne, Kacey McEwan to name a few have done a fantastic job with the Great Ocean Road Beach VolleyFest in Torquay and if that’s the benchmark for major Beach Volleyball events in the future, then I’m excited to see what’s next.

It was great to see Victorian Thomas Hodges perform well on the international stage, finishing with a Silver medal alongside partner Zachary Schubert and also to Olympic Silver Medallists Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho Del Solar on their Bronze Medal victory.

Hopefully this event has inspired the next generation of Beach Volleyballers and come Brisbane 2032, Australia is primed to secure Gold Medals in both Beach and Indoor events at both the Paralympics and Olympics." (Scott Davidson)
